Kid garden tools
With adults across the county enjoying their gardens,
why not let the youngsters get involved as well?
And what kid doesn't like to play in the dirt?
Some local retailers carry a full line of tools, gloves and various
other accessories specially designed for children.
"The tools come in bright colors that are really fun," said
Stacy Coleman, owner of The Peanut Gallery in Murfreesboro.
Some of the merchandise includes little buckets and watering cans,
kid-sized gloves and tools, and even aprons and knee pads.
"The knee pads can also be used when kids draw with sidewalk chalk
on the concrete," Coleman pointed out.
Whether children create their own garden or help the adults with theirs,
gardening provides an opportunity to learn a little bit of hands-on
agriculture.
